Television Station: Located 5 miles north of Lawrenceburg
on Highway 43, visitors and tour busses welcome. Horse drawn

Ethridge on Highway 43, Amish baskets, furniture, hats, wood crafts,

Davy Crockett Monument: Located on
the Lawrenceburg Square.

Davy Crockett State Park: Located
one mile west of Lawrenceburg on Highway 64 with restaurant,
hookups, swimming pool, camping, hiking trails, and playground.

block south of the Lawrenceburg square.

U.S. 43 Race Track: On Highway 43 in
Ethridge.

Amish Country Gallery: Located on
Highway 43 in Ethridge near the Amish Community. Sells Amish
arts, crafts, furniture and home made blankets.

James D. Vaughn Museum: Located on
the public square in Lawrenceburg in the SunTrust Bank
Building. Lawrenceburg is the Southern Gospel Music
birthplace.

Parks and Recreation
|
|
Dedicated in May 1959, David Crockett State Park
is located on U.S. Highway 64 in Lawrence County, one-half mile west
of the city of Lawrenceburg. It is in honor of one of
Tennessee's most famous native sons.
|
|
Camping: Containing a total of 107
sties, the park's two campgrounds are equipped with a table and
grill plus electrical and water hookups. Bathhouses provide
hot showers, commodes and lavatories. Campsites are on a
first-come, first-serve basis. Reservations are not accepted,
and there is a two-week stay limit.

|
Restaurant: Open year-round, this
park restaurant seats 240 and overlooks scenic Lindsey Lake.
Two private dining rooms are available for group functions.
|
|
Recreation: An Olympic-sized
swimming pool with a bathhouse and concession stand offers the
finest aquatic pleasure. Ample sunbathing space and a wading
pool are available. The pool is open from early summer through
mid-August.
Lindsey Lake is forty acres of year-round
fishing enjoyment. Rowboats and pedal boats are available for
rent. No personal boats or motors are permitted on the
lake. Fishermen must provide their own flotation devices and
paddles or trolling motors.
A full range of recreational facilities and
activities are found at Crockett, including a paved bicycle
trail. Other activities include hiking, tennis, softball,
volleyball, ping-pong, and much more.

Programs and Activities: A park
naturalist and recreation director provide a variety of activities
and programs including guided tours, organized games, arts and
crafts, historical demonstrations and presentations, campfires,
movies, slide shows, hayrides, and more.
The park naturalist operates the Crockett
Museum. The museum offers milling demonstrations during the
summer. Exhibits depict the life and times of Crockett, a
pioneer, soldier, politician, and industrialist. There is no
admission charge.
